BIO
JHANÉ (Jah-Nae) best describes her music as 'Ether Sound". The intentional "inner g" you feel from her throat chakra is the cosmic travel you didn't know you needed until it's heard. Expanding her genre range more and more, she is intentionally curating her own genre of "BluJazz", a mix of Blues & Jazz. Always at the forefront of setting the intention for a song is her desire to remain raw and relatable to the listener. Bridging her love for live instrumentation and an experience to never forget, she's sure to leave an ethereal impression.

ON SUNDAY, JULY 18, I HAD MY FIRST EVER LISTENING PARTY EXPERIENCE!
"YELLING MELODIES" was the name of this event, the title of my CD, and the 'inner g' behind it all!
The amazing show was held at K3 STUDIO CAFE which is located on S. Third St. in Downtown Memphis. It was a night full of serenading in these Yelling Melodies. I performed all 6 songs from my album with a live band, with Open Mic Feature Artists performing in between my sets.

I met the amazing WES at a local artist market where I was a vendor! It was an intentional connection, energetically and musically, and we hit it off instantly!
I was blessed to have WES as one of my background singers for my 'Yelling Melidoes' CD Listening Party and right after the show, he asked me to be a part of a "Home Sessions" project with him he was working on for 'TrakLife Media' out of Los Angeles, CA.
After agreeing with no hesitation, we wrote 'No Time 222 Lose' in 4 days and had the amazing 'Memphite Films' shoot our submission session.

This song was written as an ode of thanks to the universe for allowing me to remain 'ROOTED' throughout all of life's ups and downs. It is a "mantra" to remain in a constant flow, and to never go against the flow that is you. YOU ARE THE ROOT OF YOU. This song is an affirmation that can be used daily to practice and promote physical, mental, and spiritual strength. PLEASE LISTEN TO FEEL CONNECTED TO AND TO UNBLOCK YOUR ROOT CHAKRA.
The single 'ROOT' was released on March 27, 2022, in conjunction with my 'Chakra-N-Chi' Community Workshop Series where I teach the importance of color therapy and how it relates to each chakra and your daily life.
*A single will be released each month to align with each chakra being taught.
**The final, completed album consisting of all singles will release December 2022.

Titled "INTERLOOD" because all of these could be interludes on projects.
This project is compiled of RAW vocals I've had for over 2 years.
Voice recordings of thoughts, feelings, and ideas I plan on fully developing sooner or later.
EXPRESSION IS FREEDOM.
This expression is funneled through my grief. I am so thankful eye am in a place to NEVER be ashamed of my grieving process. It comes with major high & lows. Music found me so eye could keep going in my brother's absence...People often look at me and forget that eye am in grief 24/7, maybe I make it look & SOUND good. ASÉ
Hoping to inspire. RAW vocals are my favorite.

It was my truest honor to be able to sing on this date and this weekend, it being my brother's 3-year transition anniversary and would have been his 25th birthday. I could feel his strength encapsulated in my body, mind and spirit, and I was so thankful. Eye'm glad to honor him with my voice.
